Demolition and Site Preparation in a Sensitive Location

Demolition and Site Preparation in a Sensitive LocationAmberwood House is a unique property located within a Conservation Area in the London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Originally built in the 1920’s and used as the Panamanian Embassy before becoming the home of Prima Ballerina Dame Margot Fonteyn, planning permission for its refurbishment and extension was granted in 2012.

Extra space in this very sensitive location was to be achieved through the creation of a 6,500 sq. foot subterranean basement, and so project Development Managers K10 brought in Land Logical, working in association with S. Walsh & Sons, to devise the logistics and undertake demolition works, excavation, shell and core construction for the new structure. Due to be completed in July 2019.
